ABC Winery sits on a picturesque 45-acre estate in the rolling hills of Albemarle
County, where the Blue Ridge Mountains provide a stunning backdrop to our meticulously
maintained vineyards. Founded in 2008 by the Bennett family, our winery combines
traditional Virginia winemaking heritage with modern sustainable practices to produce
award-winning wines that truly express the unique terroir of Central Virginia.

Our south-facing slopes, planted with Viognier, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc,
benefit from the ideal combination of warm days and cool mountain evenings that define
our microclimate. The estate’s red clay soils, rich with decomposed greenstone,
impart a distinctive minerality to our wines that has become our signature. Our
winemaker, trained in both Bordeaux and the Rhône Valley, crafts small-batch wines
that have garnered recognition from Wine Enthusiast and Virginia Living magazine.

The tasting room, housed in a restored 1920s barn, offers panoramic views of the
vineyard and the Southwest Mountains. Guests can enjoy our current releases on the
wraparound porch or reserve a private tasting in our barrel room. We host seasonal
events including our popular summer concert series and harvest dinners featuring
locally sourced cuisine paired with our estate wines. Open Thursday through Sunday,
ABC Winery provides an authentic Virginia wine country experience just 20 minutes from
downtown Charlottesville.
